Jivora Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 12 May 2025
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how Jivora (“Jivora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about our users (“you”) through our Platform. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use and any related agreements (collectively, the “Terms”). Any capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings provided in the Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy applies solely to the parts of the Platform provided by Jivora. We do not control or have responsibility for the data practices of any persons, companies, institutions, or websites that are not under Jivora’s management or control.
By accessing our Platform or submitting any personally identifiable information (as defined below) to us, you consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable Terms of Use, as permitted or required by law. Jivora reserves the right to share the collected information with its affiliates. In the event of a sale, merger, or other business restructuring involving all or a portion of Jivora’s assets, consumer information may be transferred as part of the transaction. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from providing any personally identifiable information. Should you withdraw your consent or choose not to provide required information, certain features and services on our Platform may be unavailable to you.
Jivora’s Platform provides both general functionalities that can be accessed without revealing personal information and specialized features that require such information. If you opt not to use these specialized features or services, we will only collect “Non-Personal Information” (i.e., data that does not personally identify you), such as which pages you visit.
For access to certain benefits and tailored services, you may be asked to provide “Personally Identifiable Information” (PII), which includes, without limitation, your name, email address, telephone number, education credentials, employment information, and other similar information. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to Jivora is accurate and up to date. Failure to provide accurate information may impact your ability to receive communications from us, use our Platform effectively, or receive critical service updates.
When you visit our Platform, we may collect and aggregate non-personal data. This includes details such as the web pages viewed, the sequence of your visits, visit timestamps, and the hyperlinks you click. We also collect certain technical data such as your IP address, operating system, and browser type. Although this information is non-personal, it may allow us to determine your Internet service provider and approximate geographic location.
We may collect PII that you voluntarily supply when you:
This information may include your name, email address, phone number, educational qualifications, work experience, and other details. Additionally, in connection with online courses or assessments, Jivora or its authorized partners and third-party service providers may collect supplementary information (including biometric data such as a photograph or video recording, when required for identity verification during proctored exams or assessments).
You may log into our Platform using third-party services (e.g., Facebook, WhatsApp). In such cases, we may obtain and use any PII available from those platforms in accordance with their privacy settings and policies. We also enter into contractual arrangements with third parties for advertising and analytics; these parties may track your usage and interactions across our Platform and other sites. They are strictly prohibited from selling or sharing your PII outside the scope of their service to us. Should any third party improperly share or sell your data, Jivora disclaims responsibility.
In some instances, we may obtain information about you from other Jivora-operated platforms, service partners, or associated entities. In these cases, we will inform you that such data may be combined with other information collected on our Platform. We may also aggregate non-personal data for analytical and marketing purposes.
We use the information collected from you in the following ways:
Where applicable and required by regional law (e.g., under the GDPR for European Economic Area [EEA] residents or the UK Data Protection Act), you have specific rights regarding your data. Please contact our Data Protection Officer (see Section 9) for assistance in exercising these rights.
Any PII that you voluntarily display on the Platform may be visible to and used by others. Jivora is not responsible for any misuse or unintended consequences of public disclosure by third parties.
“Aggregated Data” refers to data compiled from multiple users that has been stripped of personally identifying details. This anonymized, statistical data may be used for internal analysis, improving our services, and for sharing with our affiliates and business partners, without revealing individual identities.
Jivora employs a combination of physical, electronic, and administrative measures designed to protect your PII from unauthorized access or disclosure. We use strong encryption methods for data storage and maintain strict protocols with our third-party data centers and service providers. Although we use industry-standard security measures and continuously review our protocols, no system can be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our information practices or applicable law. Any updates will be published on the Platform with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy frequently to remain informed about how we are protecting your data.
We may store your email address or mobile number to facilitate communication regarding updates, special promotions, or service improvements. If you wish to opt out of communications, please contact us at support@jivora.com. Kindly allow up to fourteen business days for processing such requests.
Our Platform may provide links to third-party websites. These sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and Jivora is not responsible for their privacy practices. We recommend that you review the privacy statements of any linked sites before providing any personal data.
Jivora is committed to safeguarding the privacy of minors. While our Platform is primarily intended for users aged 16 and above (or an age compliant with local law), we encourage parents and guardians to monitor and guide their children’s online activities. Should you believe that a minor has inadvertently provided us with their data, please contact us immediately so that appropriate action (including deletion of the information) can be taken.
Jivora uses cookies—small data files stored on your browser—to enhance your user experience, personalize content, and analyze usage patterns. Web beacons (small, invisible graphic files) may also be used to monitor user behavior and interactions on the Platform. These technologies do not store PII by themselves. However, if you choose to disable cookies via your browser settings, some functionalities of the Platform may be limited.
